in the _square_diamond
the Parameter x
before
x = u * np.cos(period) + v * np.sin(period) + 0.05 * p * gauss_noise
After
x = u * np.cos(period) + v * np.sin(period) + 0.05 * p * gauss_noise * noise
now x has the expected output
