pmcx fails if optode direction vectors are not perfectly unitary. To fix this:
In my experience, normalizing them again is in most cases sufficicient, but in some very rare cases, they are very close to zero or infinity, so something is really wrong. I tested around 150 head models, this happened only once, in a case where the scalp mesh (coming from a segmentation mask) was not perfect at the optode position, such that the scalp surface normal couldn't be computed correctly.
