Calculator: http://www.ndhealth.gov/dhs/foodstampCalculator.asp

Wholesale food prices: http://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ra_fv001.txt

For a household of 2 making $1500/month with child care of $400/month and rent $500/month, can still get $70/week in SNAP benefits.

Bananas (5 lbs): 2.5 Beets (3 lbs): 3 Carrots (3 lbs): 1.5 Grapefruit (7): 3.15 Corn (12): 4.45 Kale (3 bunches): 3 Onions (4 lbs): 2 Potatoes (5 lbs): 2 Strawberries (1 qt): 2.6 Watermelon (1): 5 Zucchini (3 lbs): 4 Flour (2 lb): 5? Butter (1 lb): 3? Total: 41.3

Approx 66 lbs food per delivery. Can carry at least 300 deliveries in one truck (by weight, not volume). Assume want gross revenue per week of about $2500 to cover salary, gas, depreciation, insurance, etc. Assume you make $25 per delivery. Would need 100 deliveries per week to support one person working at this.
