If you're locked out then you can't work from anywhere so all of this is redundant.

Not if you have wifi and a laptop

Ah you're referring to being locked out of the house. I read it as being locked out of the system.

I don't see why your employer needs to know if you're working from home or a coffee shop. The current wording seems sufficient.

@Churrodog could you remove that excuse from the array instead?

@NARKOZ initially I thought the same thing, I think we already have a limited set of excuses so I just updated the excuse to be more "believable"

I work from my phone. I pay for Internet and bills. If I get locked out I use a spare or call the locksmith.

If you are locked out, why would you work from coffee shop? In that case
you can go to the office anyway.

"Locked out" excuse doesn't make much sense.

Who said anything about a coffee shop? What if you get locked out and the keys to your car are inside the house as well as your wallet but you happen to have you laptop and power adapter.

Interesting :)

Working from porch / in front of apartment, hopefully reaching WiFi.

@Churrodog I believe @loonies was going off of my earlier comment. I don't know about where you live but at my house the WiFi won't reach to the porch. My options would be to go to a coffee shop or a fast food restaurant that has free WiFi. I still believe that if you are locked out of your house then you would just go to the office.

Edit: At the least I believe it could be worded differently to make more sense.

@RandomlyKnighted if you are locked out you don't have your keys. Most people keep their house keys on the same keyring as their car keys. Thus doubt you are getting in the car and going to work if you get locked out.

True, but if you're leaving to go to work (where you probably have a desktop computer) and you realize you're locked out of your house and car it's doubtful that you'll have a laptop on hand where you can work until you get your house unlocked. The excuse just doesn't seem believable to me.
