Moonlight macOS v1.1.0
Features
- Added extra refresh rate options (90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz).
- 120Hz should work for the new ProMotion MacBook Pros.
- Note: it is recommended that you add a 120Hz custom resolution, in the Nvidia control panel, and set your desktop resolution to that resolution, in order to get an optimal streaming experience.
- Added support for pinning apps. Just right-click on an app and choose "Pin App".
- Added support for hiding apps. Just right-click on an app and choose "Hide App".
- You can show hidden apps by right-clicking on the host, in the main view, and choosing "Show Hidden Apps".
- Added option for using GCMouse. This uses Apple's new mouse API, which ignores macOS mouse acceleration. It also can have better performace (less mouse stutter). Though when using a trackpad it can feel odd.
- Added support for side mouse buttons.
- Added initial support for navigating the UI with a controller.
- Added an "Actual Stream Size" item to the Window menu. This resizes the stream window to the exact resolution you're streaming at (activated with command + 1).
Fixes
- Fixed memory leaks.
- Fixed context menus not appearing for apps that aren't running, when there is a running app.
Improvements
- Vastly improved scroll performance in the apps list.
- Tweaked App apearance in the apps list.
- Doesn't automatically capture the mouse when the stream window gets focus (when not in fullscreen).
- Un-captures the mouse when the stream window loses focus (when not in fullscreen).
- Allows "command + h" and "command + tilde" shortcuts to work, even when the input is captured.
- Ignores controller input/rumble when the mouse isn't locked in the stream window.
Extras
-
Added a hidden UserDefault option for disabling Moonlight's high-res scrolling workaround for GFE. Run this in the Terminal:
defaults write com.coofdylabs.MoonlightMac useHighResMouseScrollHack 0
