Please not that I did stop and wanted to submit this pull request due to the fact that the project isn't entirely open source yet. As I discussed in #15 that I would complete this work (was mostly done already) and submit it as a starting ground.
However, if this gets approved and after talking to some of the maintainers, there is interest in continuing to build off this new framework let me know.
What is left is:
this is not ready for prod but is a starting point for a conversation
