Displaying AI responses when using tools

I'm getting into the tools world with AI and the Vercel AI SDK. What comes back is something like

for 1 I'm not sure if there is a way to not send it back to the AI for certain tools , but mostly what is the common way to ignore all of the uncessairy stuff? Really I just need the user and the final assistant response since all of the other stuff is useless.

Is this just about hiding tool calls from the client?
