Battery level not changing after boot

Describe the bug

• The battery level of the laptop is not changing after boot.
• The Battery indicator also doesn't recognize when i plug in or unplug the laptop.
• The only time the percentage changes is when i boot into the OS (the value is correct i checked the bios)
• upower also doesn't change

What did you expect to happen?

I was expecting the battery indicator to show the current battery level.
