Using Storybook with Oracle OJET application

Summary

I am trying to use Storybook with an Oracle JET application. I've tried configuring storybook for Preact as Oracle JET components are largely Preact based, but I keep running into various errors.

For context, the application was created with this command:
ojet create my-ojet-app --template=basic --vdom

Does anybody have any experience with OJET and/or writing your own framework as per https://storybook.js.org/docs/contribute/framework. As a novice, I'm not sure what I'm doing in this space.
