How to change the search box color according to the system color

For instance, if my system is dark mode , the search box will change its color to dark, And when the system is in light mode, the search box will change its color to a light one. l know that dark reader can do this , but is there any method to support it originally, l believe not everyone will install dark reader on their laptop. l have noticed that l can achieve this through custom.css , but how can l change the color automatically? Or has any already done that and would you please share your custom.css? Thanks!
