qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent:v5.0.3
OS: Fedora KDE 41

What is the problem?

If I set the Torrent content removal mode to move file to trash if possible

Image

then it doesn't actually send the files to trash in KDE Plasma

Btw, the trash files in Fedora KDE are stored in /home/user/.local/share/Trash/files/

Log(s) & preferences file(s)

(N) 2025-02-13T22:49:50 - qBittorrent termination initiated
(N) 2025-02-13T22:49:50 - Saving resume data completed.
(N) 2025-02-13T22:49:51 - BitTorrent session successfully finished.
(N) 2025-02-13T22:49:51 - qBittorrent is now ready to exit

As the problem it states is a permission error, this might not be limited to KDE plasma & could be a problem on other desktop environment too.

Flatpak is not an officially supported way of distibution + lack of permission is not qBittorrent problem anyway.
So report to the flatpak repo.

But it's verified and I have created an issue on the flatpak repo too.

But it's verified

Well, according to the wiki:

qBittorrent is also available semi-officially on FlatHub

So for Linux the only really official builds are AppImage and Ubuntu PPAs, iirc.
But maybe this info is outdated.

Yeah, ig it's outdated, although the build process occurs on the flathub's infra but atleast the links should be added in the wiki.
