torrent wont restart although disk space is cleared after disk getting full

I have limited space on the temp/download destination. Torrent speed is great generally, upwards 250 Mbps.

Every once in a while the disk gets full without me noticing and all torrents die of course. But after I have cleared the disk so plenty of space is available and the torrents have been rechecked, they still refuse to restart. They just sit there waiting in eternity even though seeds&peers are found.

If I delete the torrent but keep the files and then add the torrent again it will start immediately at full speed. Otherwise it just sits there never starting.

Is there a cache to be cleaned or something so as not having to go through the workaround?
