When playing with the vulkan rendered it has weird bug or dont work at all. tried with appimage. The dolphin-emu-git work fine on that particuar issue from my testing

Expected Behavior

Should work like the opengl renderer

Current Behavior

with all 3 amd vulkandriver it crash if put in fullscreen mode. With amd radeon driver when maximmise it will only show the internal resolution the rest is blacked even if it s look working otherwise. Picture attached show the behavior

The 2 other driver can't maximise and crash when tried.
It s link to the internal resolution cause imo cause when i augment it the visible screen augment too. The first is set at 720p internal res while the second is set at 1080p and the third 2520p

1080p
2520p

The fullscreen resolution doesnt seem to have an incidence and will always crash even if a specific resolution is put ovver auto

Steps to Reproduce

  1. launch slippi online
  2. choose vulkan for renderer
  3. crash or doesnt show correctly

Environment

Garuda Linux x86_64
CPU: 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics (-MT MCP-)
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series
speed/min/max: 782/400/4463 MHz Kernel: 6.5.4-zen2-1-zen x86_64
Shell: fish inxi: 3.3.29
wayland
kwayland

same happen with x11 and crash on fullscreen

When this was happening to me, using Gamescope and amdvlk seemed to work. But it turned out my main issue was the fact that I was using mesa-git?? Using stable now (or at least, I put the stable branch into the config file for mesa-tkg) and I'm able to use vulkan no problem. If you're not using mesa-git though, still give gamescope a shot!
