As an urban planner I need insight in the usage of public space to place objects at the right locations.

Example: for the correct placement of underground containers for collecting waste I need to:

Make sure the container does not affect the root system of a tree.
There is sufficient free space above the container for waste collection.

Rules or models for tree growth are different for different types of trees:

Branches & Root system
Height, width, speed of growth

Rules for required free space per container type:

Different types of underground containers have different sizes and may require different free spaces.

Combining these rules helps with correct placement, considering current situation and future growth of surrounding trees.
