Trying to run basic python code but Python extension doesn't run

The Python extension in VSC doesn't run. When the run button is clicked, it doesn't show anything even though the code is correct. Before, the Python Turtle Graphics popped up every time turtle was imported in the code. However, now only the "reactivating terminals" message is there. Nothing is happening.
