__version__ in __about__.py gets modified unintentionally

Does this change in src/__about__.py come from this extension?

-__version__ = "1.5.0rc0"
+__version__ = "20211012"

If so, how can I disable it?

We don't edit your files like this, so I don't think this is coming from us. Do you have other extensions that may be doing this? Or do you have some tool installed that the extension may be executing on your behalf which would do this?

It seems like pytest does this thing as I found the log:

Haven't found a way to disable it, but I'll make sure to share it here when I find one in case someone's interested in the future.

It may be a pytest plug-in as pytest normally doesn't so that sort of thing.

It turned out that no plugins change the file, but a test script of our own project in .github/ does since running pytest runs all the files that matches *.py in the directory under our pytest configuration.
