VS Code for Python execution just opens the Powershell window and do nothing

Hi All,

I tried installing Visual studio code to start using Python from it. I have been trying to run the python code from Visual studio code and it doesn't work at all. Whenever I open the Visual studio code or try running the Python script in terminal I just get a Powershell window as shown in the image below.

Other features like Intellisense and everything are working fine.
As a workaround - I installed Coderunner extension and I am able to run the code in the Output pane. When I tried to change the code runner extension settings to use the terminal - I ended up with the same issue.

Is there any way I could fix the terminal issue? I even tried uninstalling all VS Code, Python and reinstalled everything thinking that I made some wrong configuration during the install. Not sure what configurations to do as well since I am new to Visual studio code.

Also, I can notice that the terminal opens and doesn't pass any command based on the screenshot

Below information on the version of the tools used:
Python from Windows App store - Python 3.9.5
VS Code

Windows 10.
VS extensions -

Found out the solution for the fix with my colleagues help - Disabling the Conpty in the settings will fix the issue.
