grouping windows from a certain terminal profile under a different icon on task bar

I have a dedicated shortcut created to launch wt.exe with a specific profile specified in the argument. And this shortcut is pinned to the taskbar. I also have a shortcut to the windows terminal app (that uses the default profile). I'm trying to keep the windows launched by either shortcut in their own groups so I can look at the task bar and see what is what.
However when the terminal app starts up, the window from the custom profile gets merged (on the task bar) with other terminal windows that were started by the shortcut using the default profile. i.e. all terminal windows get merged (on the task bar) under the default shortcut, no matter what.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I know "never merge" windows will prevent this, but that's not something I would prefer to do.
