This feature is related to this sample app.

Image attachments cannot be removed currently, so if you attach an image but no longer want to, you cannot. You are able to overwrite the attached image with another one however.
Image attachments with very wide aspect ratios can completely occlude the chat textbox. A CSS constraint is needed to limit the width of the image preview.

This would be useful broadly, for anyone using this sample app.
