Description of the new feature / enhancement

from markdown i copy an object with a code block which translates well when pasting to html. when pasting as markdown, the object's line breaks and language are being lost.

Scenario when this would be used?

cursor select a pre tag in html with code language metadata to copy and paste into an ide for a markdown formatted readme file.
