ML_SynthTools.a source availability

Will the source for the platform ML_SynthTools.a file(s) be available or do they contain proprietary code?

I am attempting to port the ML_SynthTools library and at least of the the example projects to a different toolchain.

ML_SynthTools.a contains precompiled objects which are not available as sourcecode. It should be possible for you to use a different toolchain. In combination with the header files you should be able to link the .a file into other projects with other toolchains. Please let me know if you have further questions. To you plan to use a specific linker?

I will continue to investigate. The problem has been that the pre compiled archive file has “name mangled” (leading and trailing characters) functions and they are not matching the names given to the calls from the source code during the build process.

All functions are available as declaration in header files. There is nothing more which could be called from the outside. I think it wouldn't be possible to identify the variables etc.
You will need to include the header file to be able to allow the linker to link the content. I got some feedback that the library works with different Arduino versions and in addition to that on Windows and Linux. Hope this helps

Was looking to do a port until I realised this project contains closed source. Not what I expected giving the GPL license. Any particular reason not making the whole project open-source?
