ctrl+shift+right click to open the command output in an overlay and then
map f1 remote_control detach-window --match state:focused --target-tab state:focused
to move the overlay to a normal window which will show up next to the
existing window if your layout is something other than stack.

I have scoured the configuration documentation and cannot figure out how Kovid moves the clicked command output to a separate window at around 01:43 in the demo video. He presses F1 but that's not bound by default so I assume he has bound it himself, but I cannot figure out which action does this. Does anyone happen to know how this is done?
