As stated in our team compass documentation,
Jupyter Kernel's representative is elected by the active team members. In the Jupyter Kernel subproject, our representative is elected to a one-year term.
I've been serving as the Jupyter Software Steering Council representative for the Kernel subproject since last year, and now the time has come for a new election.
I would like to use this thread for nominations; as for the last election, self nominations are acceptable. If everyone agrees, we can keep the nomination period open for two weeks (until February 1st), and then use the two weeks after for the election itself.
As previously said, I've been serving as the SSC representative for this subproject since last year, and I would be happy to continue to do so next year.
The nomination phase ended February 1st, and during this phase, no one else but me has stepped forward with a nomination, so we are running the election with one candidate. Since we are a week behind on starting this election, the voting phase will last until Februray 21st.
Dear @jupyter/kernels-council ,
The election process started on January 18th :
The nomination phase ended February 1st, and during this phase, no one else but me has stepped forward with a nomination, so we are running the election with one candidate. Since we are a week behind on starting this election, the voting phase will last until Februray 21st.
