IT was working well for me on Monterey but after update to sequoia the audio stopped working
I updated the ALC kext and it is working back but with some issues :
1- on layoutId 69 the headphone sound always distorted when playing audio (distortion here happens in the audio played itself)
2- I tried some other layoutIds like 80 and others then it works well until the first sleep process and after waking up a distortion happpens without playing any audio stuff until switching mic from internal to Line in or from Line in to internal
I found that you the person how made the contribution with layout 69 for that Realtek card for this laptop can you give me any help to address the issue ?

Hi, thanks for letting me know.

  1. Have you applied the headphone patch mentioned in the README? If so, ALCPlugFix-Swift may need to be reinstalled after an major OS upgrade. The patch is responsible for activating the headphones with 4-pole headphone jack, that's why you're hearing static when the patch is not applied properly.
  2. If the problem still persists, you may try VoodooHDA instead of AppleALC. My laptop still has Big Sur installed and I don't have an empty SSD ATM, so I cannot troubleshoot it for now.

The layout I've prepared should be version agnostic just like AppleALC (it uses the same input/output activation verbs as Linux & Windows), so check your patch status and keep me updated.
