Add multiple accounts on the same server #18

By behaviour of course I meant intended behaviour :) |
I don't have this as a priority as this requirement is a luxury requirement for a minority of special playes. It only affects maybe 1% of the registered players and not counting non-playing players (hi kerio) we might be left with Tyr and maybe Maud. |
I happen to disagree with "luxury requirement". It's virtually impossible to win a 12-conduct game without heavy rerolling, since only about 1% of all games generate all the items you need above Medusa and you find out only about one hour into the game. Since rerolling for three items takes several hours, that means reroll on one account while playing the other. Other servers are not a good solution: Nethack.fi will throw you out if you restart on that scale, and the other Nethack servers are missing a lot of interface patches that really do make things more enjoyable and successful. A second reason is that my registered account - tjr7 - has been continuously in limbo for the last few days, with a game that has immediately recrashed after recovering. I'd have happily created a second Junethack profile, except the rules explicitly say one profile per human. As a workaround, would you please make an exception and allow me to create a second Junethack profile? |
Bhaak (or anyone else who can read the ruby) how difficult is this to implement? Is it actually incompatible with the current database structure or is it just a matter of rearranging db calls and view? |
@cheryl earlier today in IRC there was a discussion, I was not present however stenno did say he thought he could implement it with only changing the user table, and last I talked to him he's writing the migration for the DB. |
Original behavior was to allow a user to add multiple accounts on the same server to a user. What happened to this? Tjr would very much like it to be implemented.
