@jasonlewis I am looking to update and take over some of the work created from this project.

The one sticking point that I'm looking at is the current BSD2 license.
My company and I prefer to release our OSS under the MIT license and switching from BSD to MIT on derivative works requires consent of the original license holder.

There are a lot of patterns that I would like to adopt from the project, but want to keep things in the clear for licensing.
