To Reproduce
i recently got a 5k monitor 5120x2880.
so far i've encountered no issues except for this on cherrytree.
there are black boxes in the tree view; it looks like only on those nodes with children.
please see the attached pic.

Found the fix:
reduce the display scaling from 205 to 200.
