I think it's a similar matter as it was with #2 where the STM32F2xx controllers were not recognised.
Now the Particle mesh devices are running on nRF52840.

Fastled hasn’t been ported to the nrf52 yet - i don’t have a timeframe for that happening at the moment.

not yet, no - i haven’t had the time to do any major platform work - what time i do have right now is focused on getting the rgbw/16-bit rewrite done
