Opening Links in Views where the source is not the sidebar

I have the pro version, but am unable to load links into views, especially from the dropdown menu from the top right hand side, where the suggested user profile is.

From looking at the coreui.min.js looks like the only place to load a view into the ajax view is with the class sidebar. Any pointers please
