It depends. I have one running satellite with a couple of non-streamdeck devices, meaning the pi doesn't need to handle pixel buffers for display. My experience of using a pi 4 with a streamdeck XL is that updating the display is notably slower than off a normal machine. It appears that this doesn't bother many users, but was bad enough (primarily when changing pages) that I stopped using it. I think the satellite pi image we provide runs on a Zero 2W, and that runs without any gui portions. |

what are minimal requirements to run Satellite on headless system (Debian linux without display / GUI, only accessible via terminal - ssh)
Can I run Companion Satellite on RPi Zero 2 W (512 MB RAM) ?
I need very low-power for non-stop usage.
