My name is Kenneth, and I am currently working on a project called KLAC (Ken's Lazy Accessibility Converter), which aims to simplify document conversions into accessible e-book formats (EPUB and MOBI) for users with disabilities.

The goal is to create a cross-platform tool that helps users with minimal technical skills easily generate accessible content for mobile devices.

As someone with ADHD and ASD, and while balancing the responsibilities of being a full-time student and father, I’m uncertain whether I will be able to complete or, if I do, maintain this project in the long term.

I’m also not yet sure if I can embed the OpenDyslexic font in a way that would allow users to toggle it on and off on a host device or have it set by default during conversions.

However, I believe in the project’s potential. I want to try it, as the accessibility features of OpenDyslexic align perfectly with my vision of making digital content easier to read for people with dyslexia.

I understand that OpenDyslexic is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, and I will comply with its terms.

If I can integrate it into KLAC successfully, I’ll credit the font and your work appropriately.

This is my first project of this type, so I’m still learning how to properly credit everyone involved, but I plan to include acknowledgments in an "About Us" section.

Please let me know if you have any advice or additional steps I should take to include OpenDyslexic in the project. Or Let me know if I shouldn't.

Anyways, I truly appreciate your time and consideration and the amazing work you've done with this font.

Best,
CyberKen

I don't think there are additional steps needed.

If you are modifying epubs to contain opendyslexic, you would can add the font in the css file like it's a web page. Most epub readers have a "publisher's font" option which would enable or disable opendyslexic at that point.
