Is Ansible-navigator on MacOS mature enough?

I am running ansible-navigator 3.5.0 with Docker Desktop 4.23.0 on a Mac M1 + macOS 14 Sonoma.
I've spent 3 days now trying to make it work with an execution environment image and my ssh config to use my user and other options like proxycommands and my ssh key but it fails. Note that this ee image is used on production with AWX without any issue.
I see other MacOS related opened issues for .ssh dir and ssh-agent forwarding.
Is ansible-navigator mature enough for using on MacOS?

ssh-agent in the ee container seems to be absent. It keeps asking for my passphrase on remote connections. If there are any ideas how to troubleshoot, please let me know. So far, I use an ansible task to sleep 1000 and then exec in the ee container to run commands like ssh-add -l , env etc..
SSH_AUTH_SOCK env variable is correctly passed in the ee and the socket is mounted:

env | grep SOCK
SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.DpffgxjdnV/Listeners

mount | grep DpffgxjdnV
/host_mark/private on /private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.DpffgxjdnV type fakeowner (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,fakeowner)

but ssh-agent is not there:

ssh-add -l
Error connecting to agent: Operation not supported

I tried @timway's suggestion to add a docker option --user root but didn't help.
