The story at the intro and about seems a bit lacking.

Tell some story about the stack you've used on the about page. It will at least increase the likeliness of those stacks becomes keywords that relevant to your identity.

If you can't seem to find what is lacking. It's better to stick with the simpler one. See the reference book for building a dev portfolio (Josh Comeau).
