Hello,
I'd like to ask, as a feature request, the possibility not just to get the Pixmap of the current layer/merged document, but to set the Pixmap it as well – in other word, "stamp" on a layer the pixels from a Pixmap (either generated programmatically, or as a result of an actual layer's Pixmap).
Paired with >8bit support for Pixmap extraction, this would open the door to PS holy grail, that is Javascript Image Processing in Photoshop – which from the PixelBender days is very very much missed. There are tons of JS libraries available (from face recognition to pattern generation), and this feature alone would allow to almost seamlessly embed them in PS.
Thank you!

Hello,
wow time goes by, it's almost a full year! :-) Would you think it is fair to expect such a feature coming in a future update?
Thanks in advance!
