I'm building a cooking app, and I want to allow users to set accurate-to-the-second timers which alert them using device push notifications upon completion. Timing accuracy is important to ensure the timer goes off at the proper time during precise activities like baking. Using push notifications is important to bypass the device media volume, which may be muted.
