I tried out SelfControl in a non-proxy isp and it works fine. However, when I tried the in an another network which has proxy enabled(Auto Proxy Discovery enabled), Self Control fails to block any site.
Background Info
SelfControl version - 4.0.2 (410)
macOS version - Sonoma Version 14.7.2
Do you use a VPN/proxy, and if so which one - Network has Auto Proxy Discovery enabled.
Has this ever worked for you on a prior version of SelfControl? If so, when? - No this is only version of Self Control I tried.
Any other special system setup we should know about? - None
How Do We Reproduce This Issue?
Connect to any Auto/Manual Proxy configuration enabled network. Start block in Self Control app with block list. Session starts but all blocked sites are accessible.
What Should Have Happened?
Blocked sites should not be accessible.
What Actually Happened Instead?
Blocked sites should not be accessible. No Error msg or anything suspicious.
