Describe the bug
When using the option "-scale_cursor 2" and moving the mouse over Virtual Machine window on virt-manager, then x11vnc freezes up. I only received the following error

*** rfbSendFramebufferUpdate *FAILED* #1

To Reproduce

  1. Have a host machine with virt-manager installed.

  2. Install/Start a VM guest OS with a GUI. (Ubuntu iso?)

  3. On the host, run x11vnc -auth guess -scale_cursor 2

  4. Move the Host mouse over the guest desktop (as to control it)

  5. x11vnc freezes up. 100% reproducible.

System Install

  • NixOS 23.05
  • Xorg 21.1.8
  • x11vnc 0.9.16
  • libvirt 9.2.0
