Emulator with kafka connect api software (debezium)

This might not be a bug but rather a doubt, is it possible to use kafka connect api compliant software with the emulator?
I am trying to connect debezium to eventhub emulator to trigger function apps, but so fare without much successs.

Any hint on how to perform this?

I guess the answer is that emulator only supports amqp, right?

For those who have arrived here looking for the same, I have used kafka to receive debezium events and a node.js script to read from kafka to eventhub, this way i could simulate in the local setup a similiar components that run on other environments.

Thanks for sharing details on your workaround. As of today, Event Hubs emulator only supports AMQP. We're working on introducing Kafka support in Event Hubs emulator by end of CY24
