Last week, @pochern suggested condensing the user profile link and sign out link into a dropdown attached to an account icon.

Suggested dropdown items:

  • Edit Preferences
  • Sign Out

We might also eventually replace the anonymous account icon with the user's custom avatar so that the user can confirm that he or she is signed in.
