Introducing the ability to customize the colour of damage depending on die damage type, as well as add an option for random bounce animations for damage numbers that would be really awesome. Inspiration for such a thing could be taken from the way it's designed in Baldur's Gate III.
In this game, each damage dice's number is displayed separately (a modifier from the characteristic is added to one of them), in addition, each damage type has its own colour. As for the animation, the numbers don't just line up by jumping up, but also bounce apart on different sides not far from each other. Here's a simple demonstration:
