Sorry if this already exists, but it would be very helpful for me if there was an option to allow damage numbers exceeding current hp to be displayed as-is instead of only showing the number of remaining hp.
This is useful to me for 2 reasons: one is that if you do a big number on a low health enemy, it feels bad to only see a "3" popup. And two is that I like to modify monster hp on the spot and make an enemy bulkier to make final blows satisfying and I can't do that without being obvious right now.
For example, if they reduce an enemy to 0 hp, but I don't want it to die yet, any subsequent damage applications show no numbers which could clue them in that I'm doing this.
